Obama and Afghanistan

It would appear, as I read on another blog earlier today, that Obama's sole guiding foreign policy principle was to become the un-Bush. Whatever Bush did, Obama would undo.

Bush's critics claimed that Iraq was the "bad war" and Afghanistan was the "good" war. So Obama immediately turned his attention to Afghanistan.

However, true leftist that he his, he never had his heart in it. His true affinity is for totalitarian rulers and Islamism, not setting up a democracy. So, as Bush's presidency recedes into the past and as it becomes more and more difficult to continue the "We inherited from the previous administration....", Obama is abandoning Afghanistan. And our troops. And our security.

Afghanistan is winnable. It is not in nearly the bad shape that Iraq was in two years ago. But it will take more troops, and a commitment to see it through. Instead, Obama will be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

What a despicable man.
